'Green Eyes' - Facial features of a '........?' Moth

Hi all !

I'd like to start by thanking Lukjonis who helped me with some image processing tips he kindly gave me. If you havn't seen his Flickr type his name in 'Lukjonis' for some seriously amazing Macro and Landscape photography.

This Moth was on the wall outside and so i gave it a little nudge to see if it was alive, it was, and flew and landed on my jumper - perfect.

I got him inside and i put him under a small container so i could get some macro done when i got time. Two days later i had forgot that i had this moth under the container and after lifting it up he flew out and luckily landed in a place for me to get some work done.

I decided to use just the 28mm FD and Extension tubes for this image as the bellows would have been too close and i fancied a simple edit this time around as bellows creates so many artefacts such as dust on the lens etc...

The background is a bit too white, as i normally like a bold colour in the backdrop to bring out the deatils of my subject, but i got 5 photos that were just too good to pass by and so i stacked them and did a quick 30 minute post process adding

curves

saturation

contrast

and some little fine deatils such as removing some noise.

Hope you all like it, larger image as usual is the better one so click here to view it ; www.flickr.com/photos/sequentialmacro/6980890611/sizes/l/...

If anyone knows the species or the name of the moth i would also be grateful, i do like to include that information for my own personal use in future if i want to look back at the species i have encountered.
