Coccinella magnifica - Classic Lady bird / Red Beetle
Saw this guy on a leaf almost drowned in a water puddle after running from a small(ish) spider chasing it.
Ladybirds seem to be the best Garden pet as they get rid of any pests - Greenfly being one - Their eyes are quite amazing, as they don't seem to have a lens or any sort of chamber most insects seem to home.
Taken with a Canon 550d, with a 50mm Prime reverse on extension tubes. Flash is the 360AFD Flash gun, from Jessops mounted at the side of the camera with a cheap flash Bracket and home made diffuser.
