Emmelina monodactyla - Plume Moth
Strange Species of moth here, seem to have parallel wings spread out for flight, short hairs behind the main ones that seem to help it fly straight up.
The forewings of plume moths usually consist of two curved spars with more or less bedraggled bristles trailing behind. This resembles the closely related Alucitidae (many-plumed moths) at first glance, but the latter have a greater number of symmetrical plumes. The hindwings are similarly constructed, but have three spars. A few genera have normal lepidopteran wings.
Taken with A Canon 550 with extension tubes and mounted a 50mm Prime reverse at around f10 - f11. Flash was at 1/8 power with homemade flash diffuser at the left of the camera body overlooking subject for better spread.
