Tenacity

I am tenacious if nothing else. Last week I went to Bushkill Falls here in PA and messed up every last one of my water shots. I left my little notebook in the car with all my waterfall notes in it and the hike down the 100 foot main fall was too much to go back up and then down again. So I fudged it and hated every one of them and deleted everything.

 

Today I got up at the buttcrack of dawn and headed back up to the Pocono mountains by myself and was one of only 6 cars there (last week it was a beautiful day and we ended up parking on grass about a quarter mile away- it was packed!)

 

With nobody around me I was able to set up the tripod and take my time, walk into the streams and not worry about being in anyone's way. (God bless waterproof hiking boots, btw!) It was overcast and cloudy which was much better than the bright blinding sun of last week that made a decent shot of the main falls impossible.

 

Anyway, here is one of the shots of the main falls that I managed today, along with a 4 mile hike over rocks and giant tree roots.
