Welcome to cctv. The police can connect with their laptops to get a view of what's going on. They can do this from up to a 1/2 mile away from the camera. The cameras can be completely controlled from a central location and can zoom in on a subject up to 4 blocks away. They are supposed to be able to pick up gunshots as well.
