the last remaining residents were given notice of their imminent eviction as we were walking the great streets in the sky. the buildings were formidable, better than I had hoped, but the garden itself was the best, a spectacular and generous piece of landscaping - and what the developers have been after all along.
what was wrong with robin hood gardens were mere practical issues for which there are practical solutions. rather than applying those, it will be torn down to make a few rich people a little richer and rest of us a little poorer.
