[64 / 365] Playing Doctor

I got a bone scan today on my injured foot. Once I got past the shock of being injected with radiation (really!), I was amazed at the detail a scan can provide that an x-ray doesn't. For instance, my injured foot showed a much higher concentration of blood than the other. It was a completely different color!

 

In this pic, I'm looking at my x-ray from last week where my foot looks perfectly normal. Science is cool.
