LEGO Ideas Tall Ship
It took me a while to get this ship ready but here it is.
I made this ship with the intention of running it through LEGO Ideas. For that there were some constraints to consider; custom rigging and sails were out of the question, it had to be 100% LEGO parts, which it is :-).
Yet any shipbuilder will agree with me that nothing beats custom when it comes to a ship's rigging.
Anyway, I took the sails from my old Skull's Eye Schooner and attached them with technic ball pins and studded ropes, the classical way of doing it so to say.
The coming months I will be making updates and promoting the project in an attempt to reach the 10000 supporters that are needed to make the LEGO Ideas team consider this creation to be made into an actual set.
