Lightroom: You're Doing It All Wrong.
By popular demand, I have put together an article highlighting some of the major mistakes and misunderstandings I see with regards to Lightroom. This is not a tutorial or guide, so much as it is a clarification as to what Lightroom was purposed to do.
If you are unfamiliar with Lightroom, this can prevent you from making n00b mistakes or help you understand how it was designed to fit with Photoshop in a full workflow. If you're familiar with Lightroom, hopefully there's something in here that gives you a kick in the pants to fix before it becomes a serious problem.
I've been getting some great feedback from this and also learning what others do with regards to their workflow. There are definitely several ways to handle certain aspects of it, and I certainly don't have a monopoly on what is correct. I will say the one big oversight I made was not talking about turning on automatic XMP writing. I will actually probably make a short follow up article next week just covering that point.
I'm happy to any thoughts good or bad you may have. And, of course, if you get something out of it, feel free to share the link. :-)
