Bridging Classrooms with the Corporate World

At SDMIMD, Mysuru, we firmly believe that industry exposure plays a vital role in preparing students to perform effectively and confidently in real-world business environments.

As part of the Sales and Distribution Management (SADMA) course under the Marketing Management specialization, a guest talk on Sales and Distribution Management was organized. The session was led by Mr. Sachin Kamath, Area Sales Manager – Appliances Division (Telangana), TTK Prestige Ltd., Hyderabad, and a proud alumnus of SDMIMD.

Mr. Kamath provided valuable insights into the science and technicalities of the sales and marketing domain, emphasizing the mindset and preparedness required to excel in this field. He also discussed innovative strategies to transform challenges in production into opportunities for creative problem-solving.

The key takeaway of the session—“You don’t close a sale; you open a relationship”—beautifully encapsulated the essence of modern salesmanship.

It was an engaging and enriching interaction that deepened students’ understanding of the dynamic world of sales and distribution.
