Hurricane V7497 – Return of a Battle of Britain Veteran

Built in August 1940 and flown with RAF’s 501 Squadron during the Battle of Britain, Hurricane Mk I V7497 was lost in action just days later. Decades on, it was painstakingly restored by Hawker Restorations and returned to the air in August 2018 . Now based at IWM Duxford, this remarkable warbird carries both history and hope for new generations of aviation enthusiasts.
