Historic Moore Homestead; Skagway, AK; Built by Captain William Moore, who first established a homestead in the valley in 1887, anticipating the Yukon gold rush and importance of Skagway as the gateway to the interior gold fields. Their 1887 log cabin remains the oldest structure in Skagway. The National Park Service operates the site as a museum as part of Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park.
