A touch of crackle

At this stage it is impossible to see, but I've aded some crackle paste to the buddha's head and shoulder. That dark crimson is not staying. It is an underlayer. At this point in the collage-painting it tends to look a bit of a mess. It doesn't worry me particularly because I know that it usually comes together in the end.
