Much loved skirt fabric
Crinkled taffeta, where for art thou?
I've spent time today researching the opening hours and locations of some more fabric shops in the hope that I'll be able to find some unusual fabric which could serve in a skirt such as this. Those sections are not different pieces but from one piece of fabric. I'm imagining heavily textured fabric in deep wine or burgundy would be nice.
This is a 12 gore skirt by mixit - haven't really heard of that brand before - that my mother bought me as a present a couple of years ago. It gets a lot of wear. It's lightweight, unusual, doesn't require ironing and best of all in my favourite autumn colours!
