Daunting
A white canvas is daunting. Actually, that's not true. A white canvas that is only for me is fun. A canvas intended for someone else is daunting.
I've tried to solve this problem by buying 2 canvases of exactly the same size. As long as I convince myself each time that I'm working on the piece that isn't for someone else... then all should be well!
