Who needs flesh tone

There was a time when I thought only smurfs were allowed to be blue. However, I now thoroughly enjoy painting people any colour but flesh tone. This one features one of my favourite colour mixes - ultramarine and burnt sienna. A little raw sienna has been added in the hair and some white in the arm mixes and background.

 

I use ultramarine and burnt sienna frequently to achieve a near black; phthalo blue and burnt sienna are almost near black; as is phthalo green and cad red. With these mixes I hardly ever use black anymore.
