Scribbles With Cameras
Dean Stanton (for ABC Open "portrait of a stranger" project)
Dean was drumming up a storm on tins, old saucepans and rubbish bins during lunch hour at Bendigo Regional Institute of TAFE. He plays in the junk band "Primidian" in his own time, but on the day I met him he was jamming with a student for an electronic music program for kids run by St Lukes.
Dean loves his teaching work on the program which he describes as "an awesome oppurtunity" for kids to become involved in electronic music and recording. "The kids are able to learn about themselves through music and to make something which they are proud of," he said.
