At the Monastry

At the beginning of this year we visited Archeon.

 

Archeon is an archaeological themepark in the

west of the Netherlands. In the park the past of

the Netherlands has been brought to life with

reconstructions in prehistoric times,

the Roman period and the Middle Ages. The

reconstructions are all based on scientific

archaeological and technical research.

In the park there were several people

re-enacting the daily life at those times

 

In the nothern part of the town houses are dating from the

fourteenth century. Here is also the monastery

belonging to the Franciscans or Friars Minor.
