GBRfs 66710 'Phil Packer Brit' is seen passing through Holytown with 4M01 - the 14:55 service from Mossend Down Yard to Carlisle New Yard.
This working is part of the Hanson Cement contract which was recently awarded to GBRf. This contract was previously operated by DB Cargo.
Under DB, these empty tanks used an early morning path and ran direct to Clitheroe. However, GBRf appear to be taking a different approach by breaking it up into seperate paths.
The loaded tanks have been using the existing 6S00 Clitheroe - Mossend path, though it's been terminating at Carlisle Yard on Fridays and the tanks are moved on a seperate 6S03 Carlisle - Mossend path on the following Tuesday. They then return South to Carlisle Yard on 4M01 (pictured) where they are left for another day before finally returning to Clitheroe on 4M03 Carlisle - Clitheroe.
