21 Years
It'll be 21 years this spring since I first set foot on a skateboard. So many things have changed over those years, but for me skateboarding has always been constant. All of the friends that I grew up riding with have quit to pursue careers, cars, girls, families, or got caught up in drugs and the troubles that come with that lifestyle. Some of the best times in my life came as a result of skateboarding, and I've met some of the best people in the world through it. In fact I don't know if I'd have ever found photography if it weren't for skating and seeing all the cool photos in the skateboard magazines. Anyway I was out yesterday and took this picture when all of a sudden it dawned on me how long it's been.
