Cooperative Starling

The Superb Starling, a Northeast African bird, uses cooperative breeding to raise its young. Both the male and the female take care of the offspring. Previous offspring may also assist in collecting nest material and feeding young, Ridges on their feathers interfere with white light to produce their metallic color.
