F/A-18

This is one of the FA-18 "doing a wheely." Basically the pilot points the nose up, cuts the thrust, and max's the afterburner. ( I think that's what I remember the announcer saying.)

 

The result is that the airplane looks like that, but the direction of travel is almost completely horizontal.
