The "Wheels Of Steel" make a spontaneous debut at Bayjax
I gave a presentation on HTML5 Audio at a Yahoo!-internal front-end summit event, and finished up things with a demo of this turntable prototype I've been working on. It started with basic CSS, and then grew to be more graphical.
A public Bayjax event followed the internal conference, and I ended up doing a spontaneous DJ set while people waited for the pizza to arrive. Fun!
This thing will be live and on the SoundManager 2 site (and github) once I fix some bugs and finish off the last bits of the UI. It's highly-dependent on hardware acceleration and is experimental, but I think people will get a kick out of it.
Derek Garthright has another shot of the UI in action.
