During the ceremony, the outgoing Brigade Commander, Col. Linda J. Riedel relinquished responsibility to the incoming Brigade Commander Col. Jeffrey A. Heaton. The change of command ceremony is a time-honored tradition ensuring the continuation of authority and reciprocal allegiance between commanders and subordinates.
