No place to land

The floating plastic pipeline which has scared away a large flock of foreign swans on the Grand Canal, Dublin. Normally they overwinter here, but this ghastly thing means there isn't room for take-offs and landings. The pipe is probably going to be used to carry water from an upstream lockgate to the one downstream while workers drain the intervening part to work on it.
