A slice of Tobago
The Caribbean is an alluring bunch of islands that beckon every traveler with the luscious promise of golden sands, coral blue waters, sunny weather and endearing sunsets making for a complete R&R vacation. Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost end of the chain of islands known. Being this far south, it doesn't enjoy the same attention as the rest of the Caribbean Islands. Rightfully so - it is heavily populated and heavily industrialized and that certainly doesn't help it attract tourists.
However, the island of Tobago is certainly a tourists haven. Set off the main island of Trinidad, its beaches are the closest you get the enticing scenes of utopian beaches that you only see in movies. Naturally, the first thing that people do when they get off the plane in Trinidad is to fly over to the other, more attractive island.
Its rugged coastline is interspersed with beautiful isolated beaches, that on weekdays become your own. Your home soon becomes this typical tropical beach with cocunut trees growing right upto the sandy shoreline and a mild temperature that make you want to just jump into the enticing aquamarine waters. The island is certainly a magent for beach seekers
This particular one is the rather isolated Englishman's Bay. There was just one other couple to give me company on the warm cloudy weekday that I hit this place. The warm yellow sun of the approaching evening gently lit the rain-soaked glistening leaves of the forest growing right upto the waves. I had envisioned a shot in mind of coconut trees lit by the sun hanging over the shore curving away into the distance. I certainly didn't accomplish it here, but I think I got successful in other beaches.
