The Milky Way
The Milky Way at the Sheraton Kauai resort, Kauai.
This has to be the laziest shot of the milky way ever taken. Milky way shots generally need a lot of forward planning. This shot was practically offered on a platter!
We were taking a stroll on the beachfront walk after dinner when my wife noticed the setting Milky way. I got my gear down and took this shot. There was a lot of light from the resorts along the south shore with light coming from the Sheraton behind us being the brightest. So I am quite impressed with the outcome. We decided to pose to make the shot interesting! :-)
