On my past visits to Trona Pinnacles, my primary focus was on capturing the mesmerizing beauty of the night sky. However, on my recent trip, I made a conscious decision to dedicate more time to exploring the Pinnacles themselves. To my astonishment, I discovered this location is home to some breathtaking viewpoints. Instead of taking my usual close-up shots of the towering pinnacles, I opted for a wider-angle view. As luck would have it, I stumbled upon the perfect spot just as the sun set, casting a spellbinding light on the landscape. The dry grass in the foreground took on a magnificent golden hue, which added to the overall beauty of the scene. I used a 120mm focal length and set my camera in portrait orientation to take a series of shots I later stitched into a panorama. During the editing process, I decided to crop the image tighter to eliminate some distracting rock formations on the left and keep the main subject in focus, which I think helped with the overall message of the image.
