Oh, bird of my soul, fly away now, For I possess a hundred fortified towers…

I have been asked by many people about how I schedule and plan my photography trips. I have been also asked quite a lot about how I manage to keep travelling while keeping my busy job schedule. Some people have commented that I seem to be constantly travelling and some even mistook me for a professional photographer. While I earn some financial reward by photography, I am no means a photographer fully reliant on income from photography. The reason why it looks like we travel quite a bit is because we do travel a lot, we love getting in our car and just going for a drive and we do spend a lot of time ascouting interesting places that we would like to see. In fact, the message stream between my wife and me is chokefull of picstures of interesting places and our conversation about how to squeeze in our favorite places not the next roadtrip.
So, the main reason we seem to be travelling a lot is because we do love travelling itself and devotes a lot of time being on the road. Photography just seems to fit into our likes perfectly and we were lucky enough to pursue this very expensive passion. This year dring the month of June we had an opportunity to do a roadrip to the beautiful state of Washington. No just because we planned the trip didn’t mean that nature will cooperate, in fact this picture was taken at the Mt Rainier national park and this was basically all we could see the 4 days we were at the park save for 20 mins on the last day before we left. All the hikes we wanted to do were under feets of ice and the only things we could properly explore were the waterfalls in the park which were in full flow. We had a blast still enjoying the trip and had an absolute blast. As the famous Lao Tzu saying goes “A good traveler has no fixed plans and is not intent on arriving”.
