Raging

On the day I arrived in Iceland (and drove 220 km to Vik from the airport after a red-eye transatlantic flight) they were calling for the worst storm in 50 years. Luckily, it was mostly limited to the north and the worst of it came later in the day, but we caught some of it in the south. This is about the midpoint of the storm, just before sunset at the beach at Vik.

I have more images of Iceland in winter and, if you like, you can also take a look at the pictures from my two trips to Iceland.
