Alpine marmots (Marmota marmota) are foodies and they need their fat reserves to survive the winter which lasts about 6 months in the high mountains.

Alpenmurmeltiere sind kleine Fresssäcke und sie brauchen ihre Fettreserven, um über den Winter zu kommen - und der fängt im Hochgebirge früh an und dauert ein halbes Jahr! Dieses Murmel war also für Anfang August in Topform!
