This blue Dyna Z was found in The Adventures of Tintin, volume 19: The Red Sea Sharks (Cokes in Voorraad/Coke en Stock, 1958).

This story was first published in Tintin Magazine, 1956-58.

The direct predecessor of the PL 17 was the Panhard Dyna Z. It was introduced in June 1953. It had a complete new and smooth streamlined body. Responsible for the avant garde design of the Dyna Z was Louis Bionier (1898-1973) in cooperation with André Jouan. Production started in 1954.
The first series body was made entirely of aluminium. In September 1955 Panhard switched to steel body shells. The bonnet, door panels, boot and bumpers were still made of aluminium.
