1954 FIAT 8001 Turbina Berlinetta Prototype
This sophisticated aerodynamic sports car was a concept car. It is an unique car, it never went into production. It was the second gas turbine engined car after Rover (the 1950 Rover Jet 1).
Due to high fuel usage and engine overheating the project wasn't continued.
The body was designed by Luigi Rapi (born 1902) and engineer Dante Giacosa (1905-1996).
Gas turbine engine.
Max. speed: 250 km/h.
