1986 FIAT Regata ES Berlina Phase I

The Fiat Regata was launched in Sept. 1983. It was the emplacement of the Fiat 131.

The Regata shared some body parts with the Fiat Ritmo/Strava (see comments below). It was also technically based on the Ritmo.

In Nov. 1984 an estate version was added to the Regata range: the Regata Weekend.

ES stands for 'Energy Saving'. It was the economical version.

A restyle followed in 1986.

They are not much seen in Europe these days, even not in Italy.

I don’t know what the VDA sticker at the back means. Probably ‘Vale d’Aosta’?

1301 cc.

Production Fiat Regata: 1983-2/1990.

Production Regata ES this version: 1983-1986.

Original Italian reg. number: Autumn 1986 (Piacenza).

Number seen: 1.
