Conceived around 1920 by Herbert Austin and presented in July 1922, the small Austin 7 would become one of the most popular British cars in the 1930s.
Outside the UK it would be copied several times as licensed built cars like the German BMW Dixi (from 1927) or the Rosengart in France (from 1928).
