Howling Moon
"There are nights when the wolves are silent and only the moon howls."
~ George Carlin
It was as if the moon, staring in through the window, was actually beckoning me to click it. So I went ahead and took a few shots with the Sigma 150-600 and since conditions were perfect, thought of trying out the lens with the Kenko 1.4x Extender which made the focal length a whopping 1344mm. The first time I used this combination and the result was pretty good with the moon showing some good detail. I did have to focus manually though which was a problem with the camera handheld. Never did the moon stare back at me from the camera's LCD screen this large ever before.
While I was checking the sharpness and detail of this shot I happened to see the silhouette of what looks like a bird at the bottom right of the moon. It does not appear in any of the other shots I took. I have added a note in the image and would be grateful to anyone who could tell me what the silhouette is. Am I right in assuming it is a bird? If yes, which one?
