Malabar Barbet

A similar shot to the one clicked earlier. Clicked in the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary. The Malabar Barbet (megalaima malabarica) is a small barbet found in the Western Ghats of India. It has a crimson face and throat. This bird is not often seen and it seems there are very few photos of it on the Web. The background you see is a hill in the distance.
