Greater Flamingo (J)

A rather demure pose. This juvenile Greater Flamingo was clicked near the Kannur Fort. It is closely related to the American Flamingo and Chilean Flamingo, with which it has sometimes been considered conspecific. It is found in parts of Africa, southern Asia, the Middle East and southern Europe.
