White-Cheeked Barbet

A White-cheeked Barbet clicked in the backyard. These birds are primarily cavity nesters, chiseling out the trunk or a vertical branch of tree with their powerful beaks. These nest holes may also be used as roosts. These barbets play an important role in forests as seed dispersal agents.
