Stores like these are found all over China. Their design and products are similar to authorized Apple stores, but they are not legitimate. The products appear to be authorized Apple products, and may work fine, but word is that they are gray market items from Hong Kong. They might originate from Chinese factories making Apple products, but probably are not following the company's procedures for distribution and copyright.

Even so, their prices are very high, even higher than in the U.S. For example, a new iPhone in China costs about $800 in these stores -- a lot more than the average worker makes in a month (and more than I can afford on my Chinese salary). Yet, iPhones are everywhere; not just rich people. I'm determined to figure out what's going on here...
