A tiny forested island out on Lefferts Pond is engulfed by rising steam on a frosty October morning.
This is one I've gone back to the archive and pulled forward to edit. Within the first few weeks of capturing this image I never seriously considered doing so.
By chance I had my computer & website tech over for routine maintenance on my machine. I got into showing him some of the images he hasn't seen yet.. and he literally jumped off his chair when I scrolled through this specific set of files . He was blown away by it, and convinced me to give it a second chance.
