Being himself~

A follow-up to my previous post...
What's behind the smile? This was a unique moment in a long time between my brother and I; as we make plans to continue our travels; Ricky begins to pour his heart out sharing personal thoughts I seldom if ever hear my brother talk about...I did not have a camera or anyone close by to capture the moment. I took my phone, snapped a photo of our early morning breakfast time. The sun was just barely coming up changing all colors through the window by which we had our place lighting up Ricky's face by now almost unrecognizable; saddened by recent events, he had a hard time holding back some tears...at this moment he was not the self assured cowboy he normally is but a younger brother seeking a listening ear to his dilemma. Pieces of April... a hug was in order; people at the restaurant didn't seem to mind; it was almost as if everyone understood this was a brother to brother moment...
A few day later; after spending time alone and doing what he enjoys most; Ricky's smile is back~
Little wonder I care as much for my brother~
.
April gave us springtime
And the promise of the flowers
And the feeling that we both shared
And the love that we called ours
We knew no time for sadness
That's a road we each had crossed
We were living a time meant for us
And even when it would rain we would laugh it off
I've got pieces of April
I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April
It's a morning in May
We stood on the crest of summer
Beneath an oak that blossomed green
Feeling as I did in April
Not really knowing what it means
But it must be then that you stand beside me
Now to make me feel this way
Just as I did in April
But it's a morning in May
I've got pieces of April
I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April
But it's a morning in May
I've got pieces of April
I keep them in a memory bouquet
I've got pieces of April
It's a morning in May
It's a morning, it's a morning in May
Just a morning, just a morning, just a morning
Morning in May, it's a morning in May
Just, just a morning, a morning in May, a morning in May
