Time is a constant; happiness is a fleeing moment but contentment is here to stay. Enjoying life out here in the hills is not a dream.
Driving westbound on IH 10 through the hill country; one reaches an area where the highway built many years ago exposes vertical cut of many hills; this is where the Edwards plateau ends. An area familiar to many locals; on the other side of the hills, continue westward, look down to the left, I can see the valley extending for miles. This is where my heart rejoices to see so much beauty in The Hill Country; this is home! Driving south into the valley to the right side of the highway is where my family settled many years ago. I can see our place extending up towards the hills. The valley, the hills, the river, the view across to the east is almost endless; all conspire to provide my soul with food that nourishes my persona as nothing else will do…
I take time to sit-relax and enjoy what my great-grandparents must've seen to persuade - convince all to settle down in such a beautiful spot of Texas.
Sharing some family moments my parents and grandparents would love to have seen! This is for my Mom, miss her, she'd loved to be here enjoying such heartwarming moments.
