Physical therapy
A post for Ryan.
Right after the accident (The doctors said I would probably have a hard time resuming my normal activities. I may not be able to ride at all or walk) it was a hard time for me and my family. Circumstances were such I could hardly think my way of life was to change completely! Give it time I said ... I did, six months later after intense physical therapy I proved em wrong!
Ryan's request is: We need a place to see all the family photos you have tio; this is for you Ryan; still working on my collections as time allows.
The idea has come due to my family requests to include photos from our family life in west Texas; the thought is to use this medium to keep in touch via a location where most of my photos will be revolving around family life. Starting today I will include as many photos as I can...send in those you wan to include for others to see; I will try to post ASAP.
Exploring: From the Latin explōrāre ... to traverse or range over (a region, area, etc.) for the purpose of discovery. To look into closely; scrutinize; examine, to search for; search out. Exploring our surroundings with no goal in mind other than the enjoyment of discovering a new angle; a new perspective. Voy a brindar por ti...
"FROM MY FAMILY, FOR MY FAMILY"
When I joined Flickr almost 8 years ago at the suggestion of my wife who probably grew tired of my questions regarding: Where are all my bridge photos? Never considered for a minute it’d be a long time affair. Early postings had to do with photos on popular subjects; places or items people would like to see (After all, don’t we want to feel wanted by others) under the impression pleasing others would bring the comments; the favorites and accolades we enjoy on our efforts. A little voice in the back of my mind told me to stick to my guns; to be myself as I have for the past many years and upload-post what I like regardless. Looking back I see now how I was beginning to act-react contrary to my basic principle. I was allowing others to dictate my actions…I was past my youth years already so why would I react contrary to my own precepts? The concept of encouraging one’s growth unselfishly is the opposite of being needed or encouraging one to need you. Too often we confuse our human desire to feel important, or to live a life that matters to others, with the desire to be needed. The concept of being needed takes the personal control over your own happiness and success right out of your life. It also suggests that others can take it away from you, creating the perfect breeding ground for relationship-killers such as insecurity, jealousy, manipulation and fear…this was not me!**
One day my youngest nephew Ryan asked a question about our family history; I looked up some family album photos to answer his question; his reply woke me as if I had been living in a haze. He simply said: Why don’t you share some of these photos with the rest of the family tio? Don’t you think JJ and Jazz would love to see-read about our ancestors? I begin to upload photos for family members only later made accessible to friends; therefore the change in my Flickr name.
Today, my wife and I are in a reminiscing mood after all the traveling done the past year. Life’s been real good to us and we both know soon we no longer be able to travel anymore. For the next few days, I will upload for the benefit of my family and few close friends (Thanks to Scott, Ricky, Sergei, Romeo and John M. who have initiated an amazing project to contact and ask to join Flickr all our family members) many photos to continue Ryan’s request. One day, I may share a little history about Ryan and why we love him so much! The photos as I have done recently are represent moments candidly captured about our day to day life mostly about working at the ol family place; moments of little significance to most but enormously important to my family who seem to thrive learning of our past while we prepare for the future. Some of the photos were actually selected by Ryan; JJ and Jazz. I have sent guest links to some of you; to enjoy the full collection of photos. I have learned also to be careful in Flickr when sharing photos. For The Good Times
**If you feel that you need someone in your life in such a way that it creates dependency and insecurity, I strongly recommend that you carefully reevaluate the relationship. This will serve as the first step toward building a stronger foundation, and a more loving, positive bond. If need is at the foundation of your relationship, that’s insecurity, and that’s not a healthy base. Happiness — has become so hard to achieve, and even harder to maintain.
