Exploring & experiencing other countries series.

One goal in our travels for the spring summer 2017; to visit Europe at a more leisure mode. Exploring & experiencing other countries series.

Last time we traveled to Europe we had to return abruptly due to emergency in our family. I promised my wife to return one day; taking time to see-explore places we both enjoy.

Our avid History appetite is taking us to places in Germany; Switzerland, Poland, Italy, India and Britain to satisfy such hunger for knowledge as well as visual delight.

During our travels in 2017 & 2018; my wife and I realized the richness in cultural diversity seen at every corner of the world we visited. We experienced firsthand the amazingly unfamiliar ways some people live their life yet we also realize the more diverse the more we all have in common. We all enjoy life through hopes; dreams, love but especially relationships we build with family; friends and strangers. Whether living in a concentrated metropolis or in open spaces we all want to make the most of life. A common denominator while visiting Europe’s castles was the history behind each and every structure as well as the power associated with substantial property owners. In the absence of powerful centralized governments local rulers could and did make war for almost every reason imaginable. To be sure, tradition, chivalry, and (occasionally) law did place some limits on warfare, but it was almost impossible for any medieval ruler of substance to avoid fighting for his entire career. To denizens of the twenty-first century, the scale of war a thousand years ago appears small, but the share of resources that was consumed by war was enormous. This consumption included not only the expenses of waging war but, almost invariably, the deliberate destruction of economic assets that accompanied invasions, and sometimes retreats as well…

Needless to say we came home back in Texas with an wealth of knowledge acquired during our travels (Thanks especially to my wife who is an excellent note-taker) her sense of history is contagious for which I am very happy~

As time permits, I will add additional photos to my new series Exploring & experiencing other countries series. Last count we had almost 500,000 photos which makes it impossible to post all...

See it in slideshow Hope you'll enjoy our series! Just call me lonesome Life can be a wonderful investment if we work at it daily
