lead the way ... in a world of my own! Life is good indeed~
Life-living is an interesting affair.
In many ways, I consider myself a blessed man. From my paternal grandfather I learn to love the land; cattle, horses, country ♪♪♪♪ music; from my maternal grandfather a passion for woodworking, love for growing/farming and ranchera ♪♪♪♪ music which was his favorite as well as my grandmother's first choice for an occasional serenade. Such was the world I grew up under and enjoyed for many years. It is now after many years of not enjoying their company I see with much pride our next generation picking up where my grandparents left off for us to follow and enjoy a way of life rare in our time. It i snow I find myself reflecting on our way of life sharing some moments captured by my family members.
Continue our series Times of our life to include moments in my family we want to share with you friends. Living in a Small Town USA has many benefits. Accoring to our yougest nephew Ryan; these are some benefits he noticed after leaving the big city life to return home in west Texas. Small-town hospitality. We live in a very small community where everyone knows each other which is good and not so good but we like it and enjoy every day. When we took our new closest neighbors cookies the night they moved in, they talked to us like they already knew us. May be odd to some but our closets neighbors live almost two miles away said Ryan.
More support, less competition. Local businesses might not always thrive, but they don’t suffer from as much name brand competition. Around here, the saying is “Shop Local, Support Local.”
Quirky traditions. Hosting a High School class reunion every summer sort of reminds us where we were; where we are and where we are going. While it’s a unique event, it brings the whole town together.
Movies don’t always sell out opening night. It’s nice to have your choice of seats at a showing of a popular movie and not have to worry about purchasing your tickets in advance.
You of course can add your own.
The weather today was perfect to get out and walk around; clear my mind, enjoy the beauty of the season. Best thing about dreams coming true; we get to work on our next one! A quote from my brother in-law Sergei who believes firmly dreams do come true! A series of photos about our family life out west; the kind of life most of us are not aware of unless you live in Texas. My family's heritage lives on despite or in spite of drastic changes occurring all around us; the kind of life requiring much hard work.
Glad to be back at home enjoying a routine in life most folks shun away from; to us, it's the only way to live in West Texas. Hope you'll enjoy our series! Life can be a wonderful investment if we work at it daily. Thanks to my wife for the photo taken sometime back at home.
Have a wonderful day friends.
