Presence & communion ... it's not for everyone to understand the relationship between a rider and his partner

.

“The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.”

Please enjoy my posts. There is one moment we all look for...in life, in our day to day grind, in our job; for me it's the moment of communion

Determining that the right horse for you has a lot to do with what you intend to do with the horse.

Are you looking for a hobby horse to ride on the weekends?

Do you want a horse to show and compete with?

There are different breeds to start looking at depending on the purpose.

Racehorses and jumpers are often thoroughbreds or warm blood crosses.

Pleasure horses are often quarter horses.

A horse’s age also comes into play depending on your skill level.

A horse that is well trained is generally going to be a little more expensive but less time consuming than a horse who needs more work, which is where the next set of considerations comes into play.

Most of ours, are cow working or ranching horses. Meaning, in order to work with cattle you must spend the time to introduce him to cattle; it should be a pleasant experience for him. In order to build his confidence and interest, start slow. Once your horse realizes that he can actually control a herd of cattle, he’ll become an enthusiastic partner and solid working cow horse.

Don't feel obligated to comment at all; my satisfaction derives from sharing images relating to my family, our way of life, our travels, our hobbies. From my family & I we want to thank you for stopping by and hope you have a fantastic day! Blessings to all...

Life is worth living when we do and share our best~
