Tack Room photo 6

.

Last year, my brother Ricky along with Sergei and Scot began work on our old barn used as a tack room for several generations. Ricky’s goal is to rehab the barn/tack room as well as all bring all equipment stored/used to a working condition. In order to continue store working equipment used for the last four generation out at our place; it’s been necessary to expand the tack room barn combination in one specific structure for a single use. The idea is to have permanent place to store all tack in lieu of the present condition where some stays in the back seat of our working trucks which is detrimental to the saddles etc. some has been found hidden in an ‘ol hay barn for who knows how long…? Some has to be carried in a stock trailer and some simply stay on the floor of our house back veranda exposed to elements. Some of the saddles were custom made for dad; granddad and there’s even one grandpa had someone make specifically for yours truly. At one point, some of the saddle chaps and spurs were kept in our dining room due to a lack of space and heirloom craftsmanship.

All tack will, finally have a permanent place where we can retrieve easily what had been a mismatch, misplaced of items scattered in about three or four different locations. It has been a long time arduous family project; I’m counting on Ricky; Scott and Sergei to make it happen! www.flickr.com/photos/saddleman/37452726052/in/dateposted/
