Engineering Calculators
I don't remember using an abacus, but I do go back pretty far in the history of engineering calculators. At the top of this photo is my father's 1947 KEUFFEL & ESSER slide rule which I used in high school before getting my own Precision Sterling slide rule. By the 1970's hand-held electronic calculators were available like the one made by Hewlett-Packard at the bottom in this view. But, these days most of my calculations are made by my desktop PC.
