Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins interior

Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins #343403 (2,560 square feet)

2229 Plank Road, Route 3 Village Center, Fredericksburg, VA

Opened in the mid 2000s; originally 7-Eleven (opened in 1984), later Wayne Homes (2003-mid 2000s)

Plank Road's former Shoney's was demolished recently and a new strip center is being built on the site, which includes an endcap Dunkin' with a drive-thru (in the last photo I took of the shopping center's sign, you can see it in the background). That property is directly beside the strip center housing this very busy Dunkin'/Baskin-Robbins; as construction of the new Dunkin' is nearing completion, I decided to pay this old location a visit before they move out. This was an abnormally warm day for November, so a scoop of Baskin-Robbins ice cream really hit the spot!

This is an old 7-Eleven space, and one that appears to have been thoroughly gutted by DD/BR. The lobby is horizontally laid out, with tons of floor space. A few tables/chairs/booths occupy the right corner of the lobby, as seen in this photo, but that's it for seating. The Dunkin' counter is located to the left upon entry and Baskin-Robbins is to the right, with restrooms located down a hallway behind the Dunkin' counter. Décor is minimal, mostly consisting of wallpaper listing food products and positive adjectives describing said products; the look is the result of a 2016 renovation. So while the lobby of the restaurant isn't winning any awards for interior design, it does its' job and soon enough it'll no longer be in service so I felt like it was worth documenting.
